Take me out to the ball game.

Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte take Carrie to a baseball game at the Yankee Stadium to get her 'back in the game'.   Miranda is a "big fan."

It was a place where Carrie could drink and smoke at 2 in the afternoon without judgement.

Carrie catches a fly ball and Miranda gets it signed by the New Yankee who hit it.

Drunk Carrie then asks the New Yankee as her date to the Dolce & Gabbana party.

Later in the episode Carrie sees Mr Big while with the New Yankee.  She's devastated again.  She cries into New Yankee's mouth!  She is not over Mr Big.








Although they didn't film at the Yankee Stadium (They used the Billie Jean National Tennis Centre) we plan to recreate this scene while we're in New York.

I believe that New York City FC play at the Yankee Stadium and luckily for us the NYCFC team play DC United while we are in town.  




I am a big football fan (well it's soccer to you US guys, but it's football in the UK!)

The Turtle and the Hare.

This episode was ground-breaking due to the frank discussions about sex.  Charlotte becomes addicted to her new bedroom gadget (purchased from The Pleasure Chest) so much so she doesn't leave apartment!! Her friends intervene and confiscate the rabbit!

Apparently The Pleasure Chest have been making life sexier since before we were born. Obviously Charlotte was very taken by the rabbit!  So, tell us,  what should we be on the look out for here?!!

The Power of the Female Sex.

Carrie & Samantha struggle to get a table at this popular French restaurant known as Balzac in the show.  Balthazar is the real name of the restaurant.

Carrie & Samantha eventually succeed and get a table after the powerful hostess of the restaurant needs a tampon and Carrie obliges.

Welcome to the Sex and the City NYC blog. PLEASE HELP!

Welcome!

Hey! This is my first ever blog to celebrate our first visit to New York!!  From Staffordshire to Sex and The City!!!

I'm still pinching myself over and over again. Me and bestest mate of  over 30 years are going to New York, New York! Yup, pinching myself again!! It's my 40th present to myself and I haven't been abroad for 15 years!! (Hence all the excitable exclamation marks.)

We're BIG (get it!) Sex And The City fans. So our 4 nights, 5 days trip will consist of as many of the SATC hot spots of NYC, the places which were the backdrop to our favourite SATC episodes or movie scenes.

So, our flights and hotel is booked. We're going in September. We're staying in Hotel Roosevelt on the corner of 24th and Madison Ave. My notebook is full of all the different scenes from the show we would love to see,  we've purchased a lonely planet map of NYC, I have my organiser at the ready and we're gradually getting to know the addresses (streets and avenues 😵) and we're ready to explore!

We've left ourselves plenty of time to plan (I have a touch of Monica from friends inside me!)    But, we're doing the trip on a budget. No VIP tour bus trip for us. We're doing it ourselves. We want to touch, feel, explore NYC.  

To do this properly we need YOUR help to guide us to the best deals, bargains and places out there in the Big Apple!

So, each blog post will be about each place we want to visit. We would love you to help us make the most of every second New York has to offer. Please let us in on your NYC secrets, tips and advice.  This is a trip of a lifetime for us and we don't want to waste a single New York minute.
