Hey! This is my first ever blog to celebrate our first visit to New York!! From Staffordshire to Sex and The City!!!
I'm still pinching myself over and over again. Me and bestest mate of over 30 years are going to New York, New York! Yup, pinching myself again!! It's my 40th present to myself and I haven't been abroad for 15 years!! (Hence all the excitable exclamation marks.)
We're BIG (get it!) Sex And The City fans. So our 4 nights, 5 days trip will consist of as many of the SATC hot spots of NYC, the places which were the backdrop to our favourite SATC episodes or movie scenes.
So, our flights and hotel is booked. We're going in September. We're staying in Hotel Roosevelt on the corner of 24th and Madison Ave. My notebook is full of all the different scenes from the show we would love to see, we've purchased a lonely planet map of NYC, I have my organiser at the ready and we're gradually getting to know the addresses (streets and avenues 😵) and we're ready to explore!
We've left ourselves plenty of time to plan (I have a touch of Monica from friends inside me!) But, we're doing the trip on a budget. No VIP tour bus trip for us. We're doing it ourselves. We want to touch, feel, explore NYC.
To do this properly we need YOUR help to guide us to the best deals, bargains and places out there in the Big Apple!
So, each blog post will be about each place we want to visit. We would love you to help us make the most of every second New York has to offer. Please let us in on your NYC secrets, tips and advice. This is a trip of a lifetime for us and we don't want to waste a single New York minute.
